QFSW lines up events for National Day celebrations

Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW) and the centres working under its umbrella will participate by offering multiple activities in the National Day celebration at Darb El Saai.

The activities designed to be organised by QFSW include awareness activities, interactive contest for the public in the Qatar National Day celebrations set to be started from December 9 at Darb El Saai which will continue for ten days.

“The participation of the QFSW will be through a special event for children “Kids Qatar” and includes a number of different games for each of the centres working under QFSW. Every centre will provide special games fit with its vision,” said Sheikha Najla Al Thani, Director of the Media and Communication Office at the QFSW.

Giving details, Sheikha Najla said in a press conference held yesterday at the QFSW headquarters that NAMA Center, one of Qatar Foundation for Social Work’s (QFSW) members, which is dedicated to supporting an effective and capable youth in the community will provide the personality of the “Businessmen” and the game “Arrows Throwing” which represent targeting goals which help the youth of developing their abilities of building different projects.

Other centre will also provide games fit with their visions like The Family Consulting Center (Wifaq) will provide a game and its idea is based on spreading love between the couples, also the Center for Empowerment and Elderly Care (Ehsan) will implement the idea of “The Volunteer” who provide help to elderly people.

In addition to all these different and educational games being offered and implemented by the centres, the QFSW will also offer a theatre for public to create awareness on various important social issues. Some of these shows will educate people about customs and traditions, in addition to competitions about the National Day.

Sheikha Najla also highlighted the Foundation’s keenness to cooperate with all social centres affiliated with it to deliver the vision and mission in achieving human and social development to promote civil society organisations.

She also stressed that the Constitution focused on the status of the family, because it is the basis of society, and “the National Day reflects the feelings of solidarity and loyalty to our dear country, which requires us to work hard to raise the State of Qatar “.
