Hong Kong: Hong Kong stocks ended the morning session with gains on Monday as bargain-buyers moved in following five successive losses, while dealers were also buoyed by news US senators had passed a key tax-cut bill.

The Hang Seng Index added 0.71 percent, or 206.89 points, to 29,281.13 by the break.
