Speaking to The Peninsula about Mwani Qatar’s participation in the exhibition, Captain Hussain Ahmad Al Maqeef (pictured), Executive Vice President Commercial said: “Our participation comes to show the role of the ports of Qatar, represented in its three ports, Hamad Port, Doha Port, AL Ruwais Port and their importance in the commercial and maritime transport sector.”
He also said that the Silk Road is an ancient story, it is a route that once connected China to European countries, and ‘currently we want to revive that route under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.’
“All sectors of maritime, land and air transport participating in the exhibition can be seen today in the exhibition under one roof,” he added.
Al Maqeef emphasized the Silk Road Exhibition and Conference is an opportunity to meet customers and market our products as well and see how ways and possibilities can increase the ease of trade across the sea.
About Hamad Port, he said: “At Hamad Port, we provide all facilities, equipment, infrastructure, systems and information to facilitate the commercial exchange of both exported and imported goods.”
