President and CEO of Abdulrahman Essa Al Mannai said that Milaha is one of the most important companies in the field of maritime transport, land and logistics in the region and in the State of Qatar.
“We have many advanced services in the field of shipping and our logistics city has become the only city exempted from customs in cooperation with the General Authority of Customs,” he said.
Giving more details about this city, he said: “The logistics city is located in more than 400,000 square meters and the first phase was opened at the beginning of this year with advanced warehouses (one of the largest refrigerated warehouses in Qatar).” The city has won many prizes in the field of sustainability and environment, he added.
As for the volume of investments, he said it had not been announced yet, but it reaches hundreds of millions Qatari Riyals.
Regarding future projects, he said that there are many projects which are being studied, some of them are long-term and some are medium term.
Milaha has opened a shipping line between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, and also opened earlier this year a European shipping line linking Greece and linking Russia through many countries such as Georgia and others, he said.
From a dependable shipping agent in 1957, Milaha has become one of the largest and most diversified maritime and logistics companies in the Middle East. It offers synchronized end-to-end solutions for all your transport and logistics needs.
Milaha Maritime and logistics delivers a comprehensive range of services to some of the region’s biggest players in the oil, gas and petro-chemical sectors- as well as to major importers, exporters and shipping companies.
