Doha: In a very tragic accident two female students of Qatar University drowned in the swimming pool inside the University accommodation on Monday evening.
University said that it is following up with competent authorities regarding the accident and investigation is on to determine how the accident happened.
The University extended condolences to the family of the two girls Noor Khalil Ibrahim Al Haidous and Reem Saif Homeid AlKalbani on their twitter handle.
“Qatar University extends its heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of students Noor Khalil Ibrahim AlHaidous & Reem Saif Homeid AlKalbani. We pray to God to help their bereaved families to bear this great loss.”
According to the reports in Arabic media Noor was trying to save her friend while the incident happened.
