Doha: The much-anticipated giant balloon parade at Corniche will start tonight at 9.30 pm, as Qatar's first-ever Eid Festival continues on its second day.
Fifteen gigantic balloons of famous icons and characters will be showcased tonight as huge number of spectators are expected to throng the grounds of the country's prominent skyline.
The Eid fun will start at 4:30 pm with thrilling carnival games, roaming shows, as well as food and beverage stalls, which will run until 11 pm.
Qatari singer, Nasser Al Kubaisi and Al Khor band will take the stage at 7:30 pm for a live concert adding a musical spectacle to an eventful night.
When the clock strikes nine in the evening, Doha's skies are expected to be blanketed with colourful firework show.
As the Corniche Street is pedestrianised for the festival, visitors may use the Metro as an alternative mode of transport, with Corniche and Al Bidda stations as the nearest ones to event. Karwa also allocated 70 buses to ferry visitors to the venue free of charge.
The Eid Festival which began yesterday will run its finale tomorrow, May 5.
