Doha: Karan Johar took to Instagram on Thursday to announce new faces for his next venture Bedhadak, which is written and directed by Shashank Khaitan.
The newbies are Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay Kapoor, Lakshya Lalwani and Gurfateh Pirzada.
Introducing the characters in Bedhadak, Karan took to Instagram and wrote, “Looks that will melt your heart just as easily as his smile will. Presenting @itslakshya as Karan in #Bedhadak. Directed by the maestro of emotions, Shashank Khaitan!”
Lakshya was introduced earlier in 2019 by Karan Johar for Dostana 2 starring Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor, which was later stalled when Kartik backed out.

Shanaya Kapoor began her career as an assistant director with the 2020 Netflix film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, which featured her cousin Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role.
The filmmaker introduced Gurfateh with the caption, "His brooding good looks will have you smitten in no time! Watch Angad’s character come alive in #Bedhadak with @gurfatehpirzada bringing his effortless suave onto the big screen!"
Gurfateh played the role of Vijay Pratap Singh opposite Kiara Advani in Netflix’s Guilty (2020).
The comment section had a mixed review, while some fans were excited about the new beginnings and new pairing, some comments were also negative slamming the filmmaker for nepotism.
Later lot of Shanaya Kapoor's friends and family members appreciated and left heartwarming comments under her poster.
Karan hinted that the film will be a love story of the new era when he posted teaser posters of the film featuring the cast, which is slated to release later this year
