Doha: On its weather report for weekend, Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has forecast misty to foggy weather conditions at places at first followed by mild daytime with scattered clouds.
QMD also warned about low visibility at some places.
The minimum and maximum temperature during the weekend will vary between 22 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius, respectively.
QMD also predicted a drop in temperature from early next week coinciding with the beginning of Almerbania season.
"The weather maps indicates that the country's atmosphere will be affected by a cold spell from the beginning of next week with a noticeable drop in temperatures coinciding with the beginning of Almerbania season as a result of fresh to strong northwesterly winds over most areas from Sunday (December 6) evening until the end of next week," QMD said in a statement.
The minimum temperature is also expected to drop to less than 13 degrees Celsius in the southern and external regions until the end of next week.
In the same statement, QMD also stated that the amount of clouds expected will gradually increase from the beginning of next week with a chance of scattered rain at some places.
During the weekend, the wind is expected to blow mainly northwesterly to northeasterly at 5-15 KT inshore. On Friday, the wind is expected to blow at 10-20 KT offshore reaching to 24 KT to the north. While, on Saturday, the wind offshore will blow northwesterly to northeasterly at 10-20 KT reaching to 23 KT to the north at first.
Strong wind offshore and high seas are also expected during the weekend.
The sea heights on both days will vary between 2-4 ft/ 5ft to the north inshore at first. The sea heights offshore on Friday will vary between 3-6ft rising to 8ft to the north. On Saturday, the sea heights offshore will vary between 3-6ft rising to 7ft to the north at first.
On Friday, the visibility will vary between 4-8 kilometres / 2 kilometres or less at places at first. While on Saturday, the visibility will vary between 4-8 kilometres/ 3 kilometres or less at places at first.
