Doha: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah on Wednesday visited the US forces participating in securing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament.
The visit is within the framework of the Ministry of Defence's preparations for the World Cup.
The Deputy PM was accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces H E Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit, the Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence and Security Affairs Major General (Pilot) Mohammed Abdullatif Al Mannai, who is also the Chairman of the Ministry of Defence Executive Committee for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022; the Commander of the Joint Force to secure the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Major General Saeed bin Hussain Al Khayarin, and a number of ranking officers at the Armed Forces.
