One death and 205 Covid-19 cases reported in Qatar on Oct 2

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 205 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 197 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 123, 108. 

The Ministry also announced one new death - aged 63- who was receiving the necessary medical care.

Out of the 205 new cases, 195 are community cases and 10 from travelers returning from abroad.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 126,164 and there are 2841 active cases under treatment. So far, 215 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

Ministry conducted 5096 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 786,224 tests. There are 39 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital to 395.

Four patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 59.

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
- Adherence to physical distancing.
- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
- Wearing a face mask.
- Washing hands regularly
