Hosts Qatar kicked off their Asian Rugby Championship campaign with a 32-7 victory over India in their opening match at Aspire training pitch on Sunday. Qatar Rugby and Hockey Committee is organising the event which will conclude tomorrow. The Asian Rugby Championship is qualifying event for level one where teams will battle for a place in 2027 Rugby World Cup. Qatar have been doing well at international stage and were recently crowned the West Asian Championship (third level) champions.
