Doha: To welcome and celebrate the auspicious occasion of Ramadan, Banana Island Resort Doha, the leading destination for luxury in Qatar, has come up with exquisite offers and seek to share with community members their joy at the advent of the holy month.

As has been the tradition, the aim is to provide a luxurious atmosphere that reflects the spirit and authenticity of Qatari hospitality, plus an opportunity for family and friends to savour the festive feeling of togetherness in one of the finest destinations in the country.

This year, guests can experience Doha’s best Iftar and Suhoor by the beach as both dining options will be held at Q Lounge, with an elaborate poolside and beachside set-up. The resort also offers a dedicated area for prayer and a majlis tent where guests can have henna tattoos. An extensive number of counters and live cooking stations can be found all around the area.

Guests can choose from a variety of flavourful dishes such as ouzi, shawarma, lamb mansaf, fish BBQ, pasta, pizza, chicken biryani, shrimps, international salads, cold cuts, among others, they can also feel refreshed with Ramadan beverages and fresh juices, in addition to a cart of Arabic coffee, karak chai and tea options. Guests will not leave the island without trying the colourful and mouthwatering desserts, including ice cream from the cart. Iftar will be served daily from the Maghrib call to prayer until 9.30pm.

Furthermore, Suhoor will be served from 10pm until 3am as a family-style set menu which includes hot and cold mezze, main course of mixed grill including shish taouk, lamb kofta kebab, lamp chop, and grilled prawn. End this gastronomic journey with a dessert of traditional umm ali while savouring the mesmerising view of the Doha skyline.

Kids from 5 to 11 years can dine for half the regular price and those below four years old will enjoy complimentary dining. A special play area will also be set up to entertain the little ones.

The Iftar and Suhoor packages already include complimentary luxury roundtrip boat transfers. Group packages for 10 or more persons are available as well.
