Doha: Ahmet Arslan, Turkish Minister of Transport, Marine Affairs and Communications has said that Turkey wants to enhance cooperation with Qatar in all fields.
He was addressing the launching ceremony of Turkish Souq, an e-commerce platform launched by Qatar Post in collaboration with Turkish Post (PTT) via FaceTime from Turkey.
The minister expressed his delight at the successful launch of the platform as well as the fraternal relationship between the two countries. Arslan said that cooperation between two countries’ postal services was an indicator of brotherhood and long-lasting relations between two countries.
“This cooperation will not be limited and will cover all areas and this bilateral cooperation will also help us cooperate with other countries as well.”
He said that he and his counterpart, Qatar’s Minister of Transport and Communications HE Jassim bin Saif al Sulaiti, were expanding bilateral cooperation in transport and communication sector.
“The relationship between Turkey and Qatar has gone a long way and the two brotherly countries are partners in progress. It is my great pleasure to witness the launch of yet another platform for bilateral trade relationship between the two countries,” he said.
The minister added that Turkish Souq platform would greatly enhance trade and give access to products at cheaper rates to the consumers in Qatar.
Ahmet Arslan said: “Our cooperation with Qatar will not be limited to e-commerce. It will become widespread in other fields and will pave the way for the two countries to work together elsewhere.”
