Doha International Book Fair

A must-go event for every book lover in Doha, the 27th Doha International Book Fair will be on till December 10. With a total of 895 stands spread on a 23,500sqm exhibition space, the fair is the biggest edition yet which saw the participation of 490 publishing houses, 90 of which specialize on children’s books.

Ajyal Youth Film Festival

A terrible car accident put Hassan into a wheelchair and it looked like the 30-year-old runner would never walk again, let alone make it through another marathon. But Hassan is not one for rules or being told ‘No’, so every day saw the determined man trying to walk again. This is the story line for 9956 to be screened today at Ajyal Youth Film Festival. Enclave, Fire at Sea, Under the Shadow, Fatime are few of the movies to be screened today.

On till December 5, the Katara Cultural Village will showcase 42 public screenings, 18 jury screenings and other family activities.

Qatar’s Strongest Man 2016

A record number of 14 participants will vie for the title of Qatar's Strongest Man tomorrow at Aspire Zone. The 4th edition of the competition will include activities such as truck pulling, sand bag lifting, giant wheel tire pushing, weight lifting and car lifting. These 14 finalists were chosen of 131 entrants  who completed a series of rigorous physical and health tests.

MIA Park Bazaar

Held every Saturday, the MIA Park Bazaar will host a vibrant mix of around 150 stall in a modern version of the souq tradition.

Katara Cultural Village Foundation with the embassy of republic of Kazakhstan will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the independence day of the country.
