LEGO Festival
The festival features different LEGO activities in four different zones spread across Doha Festival City and has a variety of experiences from creative brick building to instructed challenges and physical activities for visitors to engage with.
At the LEGO Friends Zone, participants can meet and engage with five exploring, creative, funny and quirky characters namely Andrea, Emma, Mia, Olivia and Stephanie. The activity also features a photo booth, a silent disco and a creative station where visitors are instructed how to create a LEGO heart that will be added to a giant heart display.
The LEGO Duplo activity, caters to toddlers where they can build pits, build tables, and a Duplo train all set in a park-themed set up.
The more experienced builders can head to LEGO Technic + Architecture where they get to experience building and racing LEGO cars as well as add to the ever-growing LEGO skyline with their own skyscraper tower. They can also take a picture on the podium with the LEGO Champions Cup.
Visitors can experience a LEGO zoo with life-size forms of several animals at the LEGO Jungle.
LEGO Ninjago, tests guests’ abilities to tame the Dragons and become a master, take on the Ninjago challenges, or perfect their building skills in the brick arena.
The Lego activities are free of charge for Doha Festival City shoppers.

Fourth Local Dates Festival
Visitors can explore a wide variety of locally grown dates at at the fourth Local Dates Festival at Souq Waqif.
Organised by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment and Souq Waqif, the festival features over a dozen local varieties from over 80 local farms — nearly quadruple the number of participants from the previous year.
Part of Summer in Qatar, curated by Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC), the Local Dates Festival is aimed at promoting home-grown products by providing local producers with a platform to market their goods and reach newer consumers.

Gaming Festival at Virtuocity
Doha Festival City is holding a gaming festival every weekend for kids and teenagers. Kids can win goodie bags every weekend till August 2. Different games will be played each weekend like Super Smash Bro Ultimate Tournament, FIFA 19 Tournament, CSGO, Overwatch, etc. Winners of the gaming festival will win from the pool prize of QR60,000.

Classic Cars Exhibition
Doha Festival City has collaborated with the Mawater Centre to bring classic and modified cars for guests to view as part of Festival City’s host of summer activities.
Displayed in different areas of the mall, the exhibit will feature a total of 12 cars, six at the start of the period, and then replaced with another 6 in the second half of the event. Cars on show include the orange Skyline GTR Hakosuka with 4 doors, the Tiffany car, a Skyline GTR 1973 Coupe offering an engine is RP 25 with the same characters as the car in the Fast and Furious movies, which has won national and international awards.
The Porsche 911 Turbo (1992 model) featured in the Bad Boys movie starring Will Smith will also be on display. The Acura NSX Type R model 1992 will be on show while the Skyline GTR V1999 with rise rings top security RP 26 twin Turbo will also be on display among many others.

Mother-son duo exhibition
Qatari artist Ahmed Al Jufairi sets the stage, his mother long deserves in the “Perfect Duet” exhibition.
Said to be the country’s first-ever mother and son exhibition, the show features 30 pieces in total comprising Al jufairi’s works displayed alongside pieces his mother Hanady Al Othman created recently.
Many of the works, in fact, were inspired by their travels to India including Al Othman’s rendition of the Pink Mosque and Al Jufairi’s several works inspired by Indian cities including Agra, New Delhi, Jaipur and Udaipur.

The Fun Studio at Mirqab Mall
Every Friday and Saturday Mirqab mall will be hosting a live taping of the Fun Studio with Qatar TV.
It is a free interactive show for children of all ages and lots of prizes can be won.

Jungle (Roaming act)
This weekend Summer in Qatar in schedule has included a roaming act called Jungle that will travel across all malls in the next three days. Starting today - the act will be presented at Doha Festival City at 3:30pm, then heading towards Tawar Mall at 6pm and presenting its last act at 9pm in Landmark. Tomorrow, the roaming act will head to Mall of Qatar (2:30pm), The Mall (5pm), Mirqab Mall (7pm), and Hyatt Plaza (9:30 pm) and then on Saturday at Al Khor Mall (3:30pm), Lagoona Mall (6pm) and Gulf Mall (9pm). The colourful show on the theme of forest promises to be a fun and must-watch especially for kids.
