Doha: Several patients recovered from COVID-19 have lauded efficiency country's healthcare system and expressed gratitude to medical staff for their dedicated services.
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) shared the experiences of some of the people who have recovered from Covid-19 in its Twitter account.
The recovered patients have emphasized that not just the excellent medical service but exceptional patient care has helped him recover from COVID-19 and return to normal life.
“On behalf of all patients at Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital, I extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to Hamad Medical Corporation for the medical care and services received by COVID-19 patients,” said Ali Aboinin, a patient who has recently recovered from COVID-19.
Aboinin in his early 70s has received care for two weeks in the Intensive Care Unit.
“For a period of two week, I was in intensive care and received special attention from caring teams, who provided all the right care and psychological comfort for a patient over the age of seventy. I especially thank Dr. Muhammad Al Khatib, head of Intensive Care Department at the hospital, and his team of doctors, nurses and support teams,” he said.
Aboinin has emphasized that the dedicated care by the staff and latest technology available for treatment reflects how Qatar is dedicated to providing the best for its people.
His experience was echoed by Mohamed Al Mirza, who has recovered from COVID-19 after spending months un hospital for treatment.

“Throughout the difficult months I have spent in hospital due to COVID-19, I was in need of many different healthcare services,” he said. He received intensive care at Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital and at the rehabilitation hospital.
“The care and compassion given by doctors and other staff helped me. My special thanks to Dr Muhammad Al Khatib and his team. DrHani, Dr Dure, Dr Mustafa, Dr Sohail and Dr Shakil,” said Al Mirza.
While the COVID-19 journey started by end of February for Kim Theodore and she say that road to recovery was comfortable with the care she received at hospital.
“I started to feel unwell and my husband had to call the ambulance service and I had to be admitted to the hospital. I eventually got to Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital and then moved to Ras Laffan hospital where I stayed for several days,” said Kim.
I had a dry cough and a fatigue that kept me on bed the whole day. I couldn’t walk up the stairs; I could barely go for a shower. The scary symptom was that I couldn’t catch my breath; I received oxygen and started on medication. With the great support of the staff and doctors there I slowly got better, and then was moved home for quarantine. In the road to recovery I felt extremely comfortable with the care that I received,” she added.
Kim has also urged people to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and practice all precautionary measures to curb the spread of the virus.
Some 1,527 people recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 191,071.
