Qatar Oman Investment Co profit rises

Doha: Qatar Oman Investment Company announced the financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2012. The financials revealed a net profit of QR18.8m in 2012 as against QR14.8m  in 2011. The company’s earnings per share (EPS) in 2012 amounted to QR0.596 compared with QR0.469 in 2011. The board of directors recommended a dividend payout per share of QR0.50, representing 5 percent of nominal value. The firm aims at investing its funds in all types of investment opportunities available in Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman based on a sound business ground in order to maximise the shareholders’ returns and to contribute to the economic, commercial and social development in both countries.
