Doha Municipality completed 18,614 requests for pest control during 2016, of which 17,648 requests were for pest control against insects of various kinds at homes, the other 966 requests were for action against rodents.
Among the services provided for buildings and other offices, they completed requests from 54 schools and 78 administrative buildings belonging to ministries and government authorities.
They also completed pest control of camps and buildings of army, police and civil defense, which totalled to 1,344 and also oversaw the stores for ration materials in Industrial Area (logistics zone), and Al Wukair.
They also completed 136 requests for combating snakes and 22 anti-scorpion requests in addition to the periodic control of the breeding of insects and rodents in fish and vegetables market, plastic factory and sheep and camel market.
