Celebrating Eid

After completion of holy month of Ramadan, the month of fasting, Eid al Fitr is being celebrated in the country with prayers for peace and prosperity for which state institutions have made all arrangements. With prayers, people celebrate the Eid with numerous social, cultural festivities sharing joys and exchanging gifts. The day will begin with Eid Al Fitr prayer at 5:43am in 690 mosque and open grounds, which the Mosque Management Department of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs prepared. The Amiri Diwan has announced that Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will perform Eid Al Fitr prayer along with citizens at Lusail prayer ground today.  The Amiri Diwan also announced that Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will receive Eid Al Fitr well-wishers at Lusail Palace on the first day of Eid. Immediately after Eid prayer and until 6:15 am: Their Excellencies sheikhs; ministers; Shura Council speaker; ministries’ undersecretaries; members of the Shura Council; and citizens. From 6:15 am to 6:30 am: the officers of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Interior, as well as directors of departments and national institutions.  Municipalities have also completed their preparations for Eid Al Fitr by implementing extensive inspection and service plans to ensure food safety, provide public services, and prepare parks and gardens to welcome visitors during the Eid holiday.  They have also intensified their efforts to clean beaches and prayer halls to ensure a clean and safe environment for worshippers and visitors to public places. As part of its commitment to environmental cleanliness and safety, the General Cleanliness Department, in cooperation with various municipalities, implemented intensive campaigns to clean mosques and Eid prayer halls in preparation for the arrival of worshippers, in addition to cleaning beaches and islands to ensure the comfort of visitors.  The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has also confirmed the completion of all arrangements and measures for Eid Al Fitr to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality public services and the implementation of preventive security and traffic measures. These efforts aim to provide citizens, residents, and visitors with a safe and peaceful environment during the holiday. The National Command Center (NCC) of MoI operates a comprehensive plan designed to ensure safety and security, while providing a comfortable environment for all.
