The activiations within country planned by Visit Qatar during the winter have brought fresh opportunities for the residents to spend quality time within country indulging in different fun-filled activities. A first-of-its-kind desert activation by Visit Qatar is now open to the public at Ras Abrouq from December 18 to January 18, 2025. Located on the edge of the Unesco-protected Al Reem Biosphere Reserve, this unique destination offers a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural experiences at accessible prices. Visitors can explore immersive zones, including Our Habitas Resort, The Desert Escape, Film City, Wildlife Park, and the Glamping Zone. Highlights range from hot air balloon rides, which are weekly scheduled, to daily camel parades, cultural installations and educational workshops. Visit Qatar is gearing up to host a first-of-its-kind multi-activity village at Sealine Beach, developed in collaboration with key stakeholders including the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Qatar Sports for All, and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. Taking place over three weeks from January 3 to 27, 2025, Visit Qatar’s Sealine Season will highlight Sealine Beach as an iconic destination, offering a vibrant range of family-friendly experiences and activities. The initiative aims to cater to all segments of the community, with activities spanning sports, entertainment, cultural displays, and engaging attractions. Visit Qatar in partnership with Saffron Luxe LLC concluded the Qatar Wedding Showcase (QWS) 2024, which took place from November 24 to 27, 2024. The event highlighted Qatar’s position as a premier destination for luxury weddings and celebrations, showcasing the nation’s rich culture, heritage, and modern atmosphere. QWS brought together wedding planners, luxury brands, and industry leaders from the GCC, UK, USA, Canada, Asia, and Europe. Attendees experienced Qatar’s unique landscapes, exceptional hospitality, and tailored services. The fifth edition of the Qatar Balloon Festival at the southern parking area of Katara Cultural Village, held from December 12 to 21, also offered a vibrant mix of diverse hot air balloons, thrilling activities, and exciting performances. This year’s edition marked a significant milestone in the festival’s history, with more than 50 hot air balloons participating from 21 different countries, including Belgium, the United Kingdom, France, Lithuania, Brazil, Spain, and more. Meanwhile, the recent launch of the first Michelin Guide Doha 2025, which featured a selection of 33 restaurants from across the nation, marked a significant milestone in Qatar’s tourism sector.
