Doha: UCC’s leading position in the construction industry was recognised recently after achieving the 105th position across the globe and the number 1 spot in the Arab World & Africa in the annual rankings by the Engineering News Record’s (ENR) Top Global Contractors list for 2022.
The new rankings published by ENR, a leading global provider of news, data, and analysis for the construction industry, reported that UCC has risen 27 places this year, up from 132.
Orascom ranked in 111 globally and second in the Arab World and Africa.
Arab Contractors came in 142 globally and third in the Arab world and Africa.
The expansion of the company’s footprint and depth of capabilities contributed to this global recognition. The Group’s current construction portfolio includes various landmark projects across infrastructure and heavy construction, buildings, and marine projects are contributing to Qatar’s rapidly growing industries.
Alongside its traditional domestic projects, UCC diversified its portfolio in the Energy sector Public Private Partnership (PPP) Projects, both in Qatar and globally.
UCC is also preparing for public listing in the stock market in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024. UCC has already engaged with two prominent consulting and audit firms for the listing.
