The year-end offers range from free insurance, registration to zero percent down payment facility. Experts term these offers as year-end push by the car dealers to boost sales.
“This is an annual feature of Qatar’s automobile sector and we can say it is the final push to boost sale before the year comes to end. It is a time-tested and effective strategy by car dealers to increase sales and it works well for both – customers and dealers. Customers get a brand new car with comparatively better deal because of several offers,” a marketing manager of car showroom told The Peninsula.
Qatar Automobile Company, a dealer of Mitsubishi Motors, is offering one year free comprehensive insurance, zero percent down payment and free registration on its several models. National Car Company, which is a dealer of Mazda Cars, is offering free comprehensive insurance for one year and free registration.
It is also offering free service for one year or 20,000 kilometre, whichever completes first, to attract customers.

The year end offers is more suitable to buyers who do not want to sell cars in short term, says expert. “It is a good deal to buy cars now for any customer who is buying car for the long term. If he is planning to hold car for more than five years, then he can avail these offers,” said the official.
Some customers, who like to change their cars often, usually stay away from these offers. A car bought in December is cheaper, but within weeks, it is deemed last year’s model which dents resale value of the model. Car dealers said that these offers play a crucial role in boosting sales. Every year in December, such offers are announced to attract customers.
