SC holds FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 workshop in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) organised a two-hour workshop in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, yesterday evening to introduce Saudi fans to the procedures of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, accommodation booking, issuing the Hayya Card and the experience of fans.

The workshop was attended by CEO of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Nasser Al Khater, Deputy Director-General for Marketing, Communications & Event Experience Khalid Al Mawlawi, and Executive Director of Communications and Media Fatima Al Nuaimi, along with Qatar Legacy Ambassadors Mohammed Saadoun Al Kuwari, Mubarak Mustafa, Ahmed Khalil, ambassador of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Nawaf Al Temyat, and Saudi football legend Saeed Al Owairan.

The workshop also included Hayya Platform Executive Director Saeed Al Kuwari, SC Housing Executive Director Omar Abdulrahman Al Jaber, and SC Director of Events Khalid Al Hamar.

In the first half of workshop, Omar Al Jaber provided a detailed explanation on the official Qatar 2022 accommodation platform and the various accommodation options which include villas, hotel apartments, floating ships and camps; and instructed the attendees on how to book various categories.

Saeed Al Kuwari then introduced the Saudi fans to the Hayya card, its purpose and features, including entering the country, entering stadiums, using transport during matches, as well as the fan experience through the Hayya smart application which provides fans with detailed information about transportation, tourist destinations, matches.

In the second half of the workshop, Khalid Al Hamar discussed the entertainment destinations, and the tourist and cultural attractions during the tournament, and the detailed schedule of events, and reviewed through a short video the Al Maha Island and its destinations. SC’s Stakeholder Relations Manager Khaled Al Suwaidi concluded the workshop with a review of the Lusail trail, the upcoming destination in Doha, as well as the art shows programmes under the slogan “Deliver Your Art”.
