Doha: Attorney to former Al Sadd defender Abdelkarim Hassan, Ali Abbas, confirmed via telephone call to Al Kass TV that he and his client intend to file a complaint against Al Sadd SC with the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
Abbas’ statements came after an Al Sadd media statement indicating its position regarding the player’s recent signing with Kuwaiti club Al Jahra SC.
Al Jahra’s president Khalid Aljarallah, during a press conference this week, unveiled the player and announced that he had signed with the club for one year, and that the signing proecedures and legal procedures had all been “correct.”
Yesterday, Al Sadd, through an official club statement, said that Hassan “has unilaterally before the end of his tenure terminated his employment contract with Al Sadd FC without any just cause and/or valid reason.”
“Al Sadd FC has therefore already given mandate to their lawyers to take all relevant legal actions against the player/ Abdul Karim Hassan and any third club for protecting their own image and interest.”
Hassan, 29 years old, had spent his entire career with Al Sadd, from 2010 until 2022, save for a one year loan period spent at K.A.S Eupen of the Belgian Pro League.
