Doha: Qatar’s No.1 squash player Abdulla Mohamed Al Tamimi has achieved a significant leap in his world rankings.
With 3,133 points, Al Tamimi has become the first player from his nation to break into the world’s top 20.
"Al Tamimi’s ranking is a reflection on his recent good form which has seen him reach the Robertson Lodges New Zealand Open semi-finals, the last 16 of the MARIGOLD Singapore Squash Open 2022 and the quarter finals of the QTerminals Qatar Classic," stated the PSA in its statement on latest rankings.
Recent Malaysian Open winner Nele Gilis was announced as the first female Belgian player to reach the top 10 in the latest PSA rankings
Meanwhile Egyptian Ali Farag retained his position as the World No. 1 in the Men's ranking followed by Paul Coll of New Zealand and Mohamed El Shorbagy of England in the second and third position.
