Doha: Kuwait Amir H H Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah died, state TV reported.
“With great sadness and sorrow, we announce to the Kuwaiti people, the Arab and Islamic nations, and the friendly peoples of the world, the death of the late His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait who moved next to his Lord,” Kuwait Amiri Diwan announced.
HH Sheikh Sabah, 91, had ruled the Gulf country since 2006 and steered its foreign policy for more than 50 years.
