Chevrolet dealer presents rescue car to Traffic Dept

Playing its role in assisting authorities to ensure road safety and undertake rescue operations fast, Jaidah Automotive, exclusive Chevrolet dealer in Qatar, yesterday presented a special edition Chevrolet Silverado 2017 to the General Directorate of Traffic Department.
The ceremony took place at the Traffic Department Headquarters and was attended by Brig Mohamed Saad Al Kharji, Director-General of the Traffic Department at the Ministry, Mohamad Jaidah, Group Executive Director of Jaidah Group, and Khalid Samir, Director of Operations at Jaidah Automotive, as well as representatives from both sides. “We hope this contribution to reduce traffic accidents will benefit more winter campers due to its power and design. In September we also organised with Jaidah Automotive an awareness campaign to spread traffic awareness among school students,” said Al Kharji.
He added: “I hope other companies will do the same to help the Traffic Department reduce accidents because all road users are responsible for traffic accidents.”
Mohamad Jaidah, Group Executive Director of Jaidah Group, said, “We will like to thank Qatar’s Traffic Department for their role in supporting road rescue and safety. It is essential to create safer roads in Qatar and we are excited to contribute to the efforts of the department."
“We hope that the new Chevrolet Silverado with its power and capabilities will assist the department with rescue efforts and implementing safety on the road to reduce the rate of accidents,” he added.
Jaidah Automotive participated this year in the 33rd GCC Traffic Week, which was held under the theme — “Your Life is Trust” — at Darb Al Saai.
Jaidah Automotive participated in the event including a display of the Chevrolet Camaro and Trailblazer 2017.
The Traffic Department held an appreciation event at the end of the Traffic Week, where Jaidah Automotive was presented with a certificate of appreciation that was received by Khalid Samir, Director of Operations.
