Kuwait: Kuwait is determined to continue its mediation efforts in order to settle the Gulf crisis and is confident that a “breakthrough will be reached someday,” Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al Jarallah said.
The working mechanism of the GCC will not be frozen or impeded due to a conviction that whatever the magnitude of the dispute, it should be avoided,” Al Jarallah was quoted as saying by KUNA news agency.
Asked about Kuwait’s role and its thoughts on the future of GCC after the summit in Kuwait, the deputy foreign minister said Kuwait was “not worried” and that its “mediation efforts will not stop.”
Al Jarallah said that Kuwait will carry on its approach of maintaining action conducted through GCC by hosting a conference for heads of Gulf parliaments on January 8.
