The Qatar national junior handball team will hold a training camp in Egypt from August 6 to 14, in preparation for participating in the 9th Asian Junior Championship to be held in Bahrain. The August 20-31 tournament will be a qualifying event for the 2023 World Championship in Croatia.
During the camp, the team will play a number of trial matches, through which the coaching staff seeks to reach the highest levels of readiness before entering the continental competition.
The draw for the Asian Championship placed the Qatar in Group B along with Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and Kuwait. Group A includes Bahrain, Iran, India, South Korea and Uzbekistan.
