Doha, Qatar: The Criminal Investigation Department of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation apprehended an individual of Asian descent for conducting currency exchange operations without a license.
After search and investigation, the suspect was arrested and was found in the possession of sums of local Qatari currency that he had acquired from workers in exchange for Asian currency.
Upon investigation, the suspect admitted to what was attributed to him, and cash amounts along with financial receipts were found in his possession.
The suspect and the seized items were referred to the relevant authorities.
