Doha: Qatar Meteorology Department has predicted scattered rain over the weekend.
In a weather report posted on their social media account the MET said that there is chance of scattered rain from Friday noon until Sunday.
As per the report it will be “misty at places by early morning on both Friday and Saturday and will become hot and relatively humid daytime with chance of thundery rain at places by afternoon and humid by night.”The temperature is expected to fluctuate in between 31 and 38 degree Celsius
“Local convective clouds form during noon especially in central areas due to wind convergence between easterly and westerly sea breezes in addition to the factor of surface heating. As a result, air rises and thunderstorms form when there's enough moisture in the upper atmospheric levels. it's usually accompanied with strong downdraft wind causing blowing dust and poor visibility for a short period of time,” the weather report added.
Latest weather charts indicate a better chance of local cloud development in some areas of the country from Friday noon until Sunday with a chance of scattered thunderstorms accompanied with strong wind.
