Doha: The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ has announced that the inner lane in each direction on Al-Rayyan Road, near the Al Rayyan Interchange, will be closed from the evening of August 29 for three months. During this period, traffic will be diverted to the right lane of the road in both directions, as shown in the map below.
The closure, which is approximately over a stretch of 350 metres, is needed to allow for the construction of the bridge that will link Al-Rayyan Road to the Doha Expressway Road (Al-Shamal Road), as part of the second phase works of Al-Rayyan Road Upgrade project, which will serve to reduce traffic congestion in the Al-Rayyan
area.
Ashghal will install road signs to advice motorists of the diversion.
Ashghal has requested all road users to obey the speed limit, and follow road signs in the interest of safety.
