Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has recalled 2014-2015 models of Jeep Cherokee and Chrysler 200C to update the engine ignition and transmission software.
The ministry said the recall is within the framework of its coordination and follow-up to ascertain dealers’ commitment to follow up vehicles’ defects and repair them to protect consumers’ rights.
The ministry stressed that it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up maintenance and repairs and communicate with customers to ensure implementation of procedures to fix defects.
It urged consumers to report any abuses or irregularities to the Department of Consumer Protection and Commercial Fraud Combat which receives complaints, suggestions and inquiries through its communication channels. QNA
