EO offers a refreshing and unique perspective on contemporary Europe, all seen through the eyes of an unlikely protagonist — an unassuming grey donkey named EO. The film delves deep into the life of this four-legged creature, exploring his encounters with both kind-hearted and malevolent individuals, his moments of happiness and sorrow, and his navigation through the unpredictable wheel of fortune.

The acclaim EO has received is nothing short of remarkable, boasting an impressive record of 21 wins and 55 nominations from various film festivals and award ceremonies. The film premiered in competition at the 75th Cannes Film Festival in May 2022, where it earned the coveted Jury Prize, sharing the honour with The Eight Mountains.
