Doha: The national employment platform (Kawader) run by the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) helped recruit 1,400 job seekers since its establishment in August 2020, said a senior official.
Kawader had offered 4,800 job opportunities to citizens in public and private sectors when it was launched last year.
“MADLSA will announce soon to qualify holders of secondary school certificates for some technical jobs to meet the requirements of job market of the country,” said Director of National Human Resources Department at the Ministry of Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, Abdul Aziz Hasan Ibrahim.
Speaking in Qatar TV programme ‘Ghabqa’, he said that some job seekers could not complete their higher studies like diploma or bachelor degrees.
“The job markets in public and private sectors need specialisations. The Ministry will announce programmes in coordination with authorities concerned to qualify these jobs seekers to pickup some technical jobs like computers,” said Ibrahim.
To a question about getting suitable jobs through Kawader, Abdul Aziz Hasan Ibrahim said that the the national employment platform functions as all entities offer jobs when they need as per their requirement round the year.
“The job seekers who are registered at the platform are being updated about the jobs which suits for their qualification and those which are below their qualification. The job seekers have freedom to choose as per their qualification or those below it,” said Ibrahim.
For example, he said, a graduate in business management can choose a job which suits his degree or below it.
“I would like to explain that national employment platform (Kawader) informs about jobs offered, its nature and conditions for applying,” said Ibrahim.
Kawader is a flexible and easy way that enables job seekers to find job opportunities that match their qualifications and experiences in the government and private sectors, and link job nominations with the authorities directly to conduct personal interviews with job seekers without the need for the Ministry to intervene in the process of selecting the appropriate job and the entity.
The Ministry said that these procedures are carried out electronically, starting with creating a CV, registering, selecting the appropriate job, and conducting a personal interview by the body concerned, up to the acceptance and appointment.
The Ministry’s role through the Kawader platform is to coordinate with the authorities to provide and offer job opportunities, follow up the registration processes and creation of a CV, in addition to guiding and counseling job seekers, and following up and coordinating with employers regarding interviews and appointment.
