New York: The Columbus Blue Jackets, who returned to action from their bye week with a home win on Saturday, followed that up with an impressive 5-2 road victory over the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
Cam Atkinson and Alexander Wennberg both scored a pair of goals for the Blue Jackets, and Josh Anderson scored once. Sergei Bobrovsky sparkled with 28 saves, while earning his 32nd victory of the season, tying his career high set in 2013-14.
Rick Nash and Jesper Fast scored the Rangers.
Meanwhile, Viktor Arvidsson scored Nashville's third power-play goal of the game at 1:19 of the third period, lifting his team over Edmonton. Filip Forsberg scored his eighth goal in four games for the Predators and James Neal collected three assists. Defensemen P.K. Subban and Roman Josi each added two assists. Ryan Ellis, Vernon Fiddler and Colin Wilson also scored for the Predators.
In other game, Johnny Gaudreau scored two goals as Calgary completed a splendid road trip by defeating Carolina.
Michael Ferland also scored for the Flames, who went 4-0-1 in five road games to gain more traction in a bid for a Western Conference play-off spot.
