Gulf Report reviews efforts of GCC countries in confronting COVID-19 repercussions

The Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf (GCC-Stat), in cooperation with the Gulf Health Council, issued a report on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on health, social and economic aspects in the GCC states.

The report reviews the efforts of the GCC countries in facing the COVID-19 repercussions on the health, economic, social and environmental sectors by devoting resources and capabilities to taking the best immediate and decisive preventive, curative and aware measures to limit the spread of the pandemic among the residents of the GCC countries.

The 78-page report highlights the effective and efficient measures and policies taken by the GCC states to deal with the unprecedented COVID-19 crisis, in addition to reviewing some visions associated with economic recovery.

The issuance of the report comes within the work of the entities affiliated with the GCC General Secretariat in the careful monitoring of statistics and indicators and the construction of information systems to support decision and policy makers in the GCC countries, and provide the public with accurate, modern and credible information.
