Doha, Qatar: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani Hospital in the Gaza Strip signed a twinning agreement to enhance medical efforts and cooperation and develop healthcare in the Gaza Strip.
HMC’s Deputy Chief of Quality, Director of the Center for Patient Experience and Staff Engagement (CPESE) and the Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI), Nasser Al Naimi said that through this collaborative partnership, both CPESE and HHQI will be major providers of capacity building programmes at H H Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani Hospital in Gaza.
He added that, based on this agreement, Minister of Public Health, H E Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari called for the need to support the health sector in the Gaza Strip to strengthen the infrastructure, improve medical services, train and qualify medical personnel, as well as promote health awareness and education. Al Naimi said efforts of CPESE are based on providing the foundations and practices of patient-centred care and applying them in the hospital culture. Dr. Khalid Abdel Hadi, Delegated Member and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at H H Sheikh Hamad Hospital, said, “This initiative is the result of fruitful cooperation and efforts aimed at improving health care and providing high-quality services to patients in the region.”
