Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), in a statement, said that the fire brigade is dealing with a 'limited fire' that erupted where oil leaked last week and that no injuries were recorded at the site.
The company announced that a limited fire broke out to bad weather which led to an oil spill in the area of operations in western Kuwait last Monday.
"The company confirmed that its fire brigades, in cooperation with the General Fire Force, are dealing with the fire according to the company's procedures and that, thankfully, no injuries were recorded at the site," stated the company adding that the company had taken all steps to confront the fire.
It also added that it had taken all expected measures to limit the consequences of this fire.
The company also explained that its operations in the region have not been affected.
