4th Katara International Arabian Horse Festival to feature 674 horses

Doha, Qatar: The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara announced the sponsors of the 4th edition of the Katara International Festival of Arabian Horse 2024, in the presence of representatives of the sponsors. The festival will take place from February 1 to 11.

Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, Chairman of the organising committee of the festival and General Manager of Katara, said: “This festival has become a prominent and important event in the world of equestrianism inside and outside Qatar, due to the privilege of being patronised by Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The number of horses registered in the fourth edition of the festival has reached 674 horses from 27 countries.”

He thanked the festival’s sponsors, which are the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (platinum sponsor), Ooredoo (exclusive communications sponsor), Nasser Bin Khaled Group (diamond sponsor), Ahli Bank (exclusive banking sponsor), Ali Bin Ali Luxury Group (Diamond sponsor), Qatar Insurance Group (exclusive insurance sponsor), Al Kass Channel (official carrier) and social media sponsors Socast, 2connect, White Event, and Qommunication.

Tournament Director Badr Al Darwish said: “In this edition, the festival will witness the Arabian Horses Tour - Doha from February 1 to 5, with its second station being Abu Dhabi, then Muscat, then France, then the Netherlands, then Rome, and will end in Paris. The auction will be held on February 4.

Sheikh Faleh bin Nawaf Al Thani, the second executive director of Nasser bin Khaled group and Sons, stressed the commitment of his group to provide support for this race. He added that the festival today constitutes a cultural and civilisational legacy for Qatar, and the region.

Mohammed Musa Al Namlah, Executive Vice-President of Business Support, Services and Human Resources at Ahli Bank, expressed his happiness with the continuation of the strategic partnership with Katara for the fourth year.
