Municipal council elections begin in Oman

Muscat: Omani voters on Sunday begin casting their vote for the second municipal elections (2017-2020).
In all, 107 election centers are ready to receive 623,224 voters to elect 202 members for 11 municipal councils. There are 731 candidates, including 23 women, in the fray, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
The first round of voting was held on December with Omani voters residing in the GCC countries casting their votes at the stations set up in various embassies.
