China opens Museum showcasing Islam

BEIJING: Yinchuan Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) opened today as a first museum focusing on cultural exchange between China and Islamic countries after three years of its construction amid a huge attendance of Chinese and foreign artists.

The collections in the museum depict Chinese local culture and their relation with Islamic art. The museum, located in YinChuan City, Ning Xia Province,  is built over an area of 15,000 square meters.
