To address the possible traffic jam today, traffic patrols will focus in the early morning around Eid prayer areas.
Traffic patrols will also focus on exit and entry points of markets because people visit the markets on Eid day for shopping sweets etc., according to an official at the General Directorate of Traffic Department.
To avoid congestion at the markets, the Ministry of Interior has said that motorists must not park their vehicles in places which are prohibited for parking because parking in that places causes traffic jam in the commercial markets.
It also advised families visiting markets for shopping to take care of their children, they should monitor them inside these markets because sometimes and due to crowding, they may lose children.
For their safety, it is important to cross streets near the market holding children’s hand, said the Ministry of Interior at its official Facebook account.
For people who shop online, the Ministry said that they have to be careful while shopping to avoid becoming a victim to electronic theft because some thieves used to hack shopping sites and credit card on this day.
It is better to buy only from safe websites which are famous. They also have to report authorities about suspicious sites. Hackers tend to ask passwords for bank accounts and debit and credit cards. Online shoppers should not reveal their passwords to unknown persons.
Because families spend more time shopping and outside home, they have to be sure that electrical appliances are off and also secure the gas cylinder and check the fire extinguishers whether they are working or not.
The ministry said that during the Eid Al Fitr holidays that starts today, and ends on Monday, July 3, 2017, the working of hours of Ministry of Interior service-oriented departments will be from 8 am to 12 noon. The security departments will work round the clock.
