Four citizens arrested in Lebanon for forming cell works for IS

Beirut: The Lebanese Directorate General of General Security on Thursday issued a communique in which it announced that it detained, upon a notice from the general prosecution, four Lebanese individuals for forming a cell that works for ISIS organization. 

After questioning them, the four confessed that they formed a cell that aimed to recruit individuals and carry out operations for the said organization, Lebanese National News (NNA).

One of them confessed belonging to ISIS group and pledged of allegiance to it through his Lebanese-Australian relative who is a leader in ISIS organization in al-Raqqa in Syria and is active in the field of manufacturing explosives and improvised explosives. 

The arrestees were referred after the end of the investigation to the concerned authorities.
