DOHA: Qatar Petroleum (QP) has renewed its membership in the Board of Directors of INJAZ Qatar by handing over a cheque representing its corporate contribution in the organization’s annual operating budget. The decision comes in line with QP’s strong commitment to the development and empowerment of young people in the country.
QP’s support to INJAZ Qatar was under the directives of Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman & Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum HE Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada.
The cheque was delivered yesterday by Abdulrahman Abdulla M Al-Obaidly, Public Relations and Communications Manager of QP, to Raymond Obeid, Operations Manager of INJAZ Qatar.
“QP is proud to support the full range of programs of INJAZ Qatar as it continues its mission of inspiring and preparing young people for them to be fully equipped with the right skills and be highly successful in the global economy,” said Al Obaidly.
“QP has been a member of the INJAZ Board since 2010, and our corporate contribution for the fiscal year 2012-2013 reflects our strong commitment in helping achieve the organization’s objectives and in making a positive difference in the lives and future careers of young people in Qatar,” he added.
Established in 2007, INJAZ Qatar works with the business community, corporate volunteers and educators in the training the youth to be ready for the realities and challenges of the global economy.
The organisation’s programs and activities focus primarily on entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy, thus empowering young people with the confidence, skills and ambition to succeed.
