DOHA: Student recruitment officials of American University of Sharjah (AUS) is hosting a week-long open sessions for prospective undergraduate and graduate students in Qatar, from November 22 to November 26, to introduce them to the various accredited programmes offered by the university.
The total number of students coming from Qatar currently enrolled at AUS is more than 150, comprising various nationalities. The number has witnessed a big increase in the academic year 2014-2015 with indications that the growth will continue next year.
Students and their parents attending these sessions will gain insight into the university’s campus life and its vibrant multicultural atmosphere with students from more than 95 countries, including Qatar.
In addition to the school visits programme in Doha, AUS admissions officials will be available in the lobby of Doha Concord Hotel from Sunday, November 22 to Thursday, November 26, from 4pm to 8pm for one-on-one meetings with parents and prospective students.

The Bachelor of Science degree programmes in chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering offered by the College of Engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET (www.abet.org). The Bachelor of Science degree program in computer science offered by the College of Engineering is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET (www.abet.org). The Bachelor of Architecture program of the College of Architecture, Art and Design is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board of the United States. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as well as the Master of Business Administration and Executive Master of Business Administration degrees offered by the School of Business Administration are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
