Paris: A student was killed, and three others injured on Thursday in a stabbing incident at a school in the city of Nantes, western France.
In a statement, French police confirmed that a high school student died, and three others were wounded in the attack, ruling out any terrorist motive behind the incident.
They added that teachers at the school were able to restrain the attacker, a 15-year-old student, before police arrived at the scene.
In a separate incident last February, one person was killed, and five municipal police officers were injured in a knife attack in the eastern French city of Mulhouse.
