Gaza: The Israeli occupation forces launched the most intense airstrikes and artillery shelling since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of dozens of Palestinians and the injury of many more in an initial toll.
The Israeli occupation warplanes targeted the town and refugee camp of Jabalia in the northern part of the Gaza Strip with dozens of rockets and explosive concussion bombs. Massive explosions were heard, and flames and smoke rose from the areas in the northeast of the Strip due to rocket and bomb attacks by the warplanes.
Additionally, the Israeli occupation artillery stationed near the eastern separation barrier of the Gaza Strip conducted simultaneous shelling, targeting infrastructure, houses, and places of worship directly.
The bombardment resulted in the death of dozens of Palestinians and left many more with various injuries, Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported.
Many residents are still trapped under the rubble of destroyed homes, and civil defense teams are working to rescue them under extremely difficult conditions with a lack of necessary equipment, WAFA added.
More than half of those killed and wounded are children, women, and elderly.
On Sunday evening, the Israeli occupation warplanes targeted the vicinity of Al Shefa Medical Complex in the center of Gaza City, as well as the vicinity of the Al-Quds Hospital in the western part of the city, as part of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7.
