Doha: Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) announced that tomorrow, August 24 marks the first night of the "Al-Tarf" phase of the Suhail star, one of the last summer stars that signal the beginning of the season's end. Al Tarf will last for 13 days.

Al-Tarf represents the beginning of Suhail's four stages, which include ''Al-Jabha'' in second phase, followed by ''Al-Zebra'', while ''Al-Sarfa'' concludes the star’s four stages.

QMD stated that ‘’during the initial phase of Al-Tarf, the country might experience sustained humidity, with a gradual decrease in temperature levels.’’

‘’The Indian Monsoon-Depressions recede with the appearance of Al Tarf star, followed by the gusts of wind that bring cooler weather,’’ it added.

The Suhail star is characterized by the shorter daytime, accompanied by moderate weather at night.

Its appearance continues until the end of the winter season in the Arabian Peninsula region.
