The Person in Charge of the Business of Qatar TV, Ali Saleh Bader Alsada, has said that Qatar TV will launch new programmes for covering the activities and events during FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Speaking to The Peninsula on the occasion of 52nd anniversary of the channel, he said that new programmes will be announced soon.
“Qatar TV will broadcast special programmes giving intensive coverage on the activities during the World Cup,” said Alsada,
He said that the coverage will continue all day long from fan zones, stadiums, markets, and other places across the country that will host the celebrations of the mega sporting event.
“We are preparing a huge team to keep pace with the event. Now we are preparing new reporters and presenters. They are under training. The new cadres will join the TV as reporters, anchors, and hosts soon,” said Alsada.
To a question about the achievements of Qatar TV during its past 52 years long journey since its launch, Alsada said: “The channel made remarkable achievements with the support of its affiliates throughout the journey. Now we are doing our best to take the channel to new heights on the same pattern with a noble goal to make its name on the international level.”
Speaking about the role of Qatari cadres in the development of Qatar TV, he said: “Qatari citizens have been making their contribution since the launch of the channel until now.”
He said that non-Qatari cadres also made their contributions in covering the events but Qatari citizens are those who founded the channel and they will remain a reference point for it.
